  1.                           BASTIPS4.ARC

  3.      Over the past year and a half, I distributed to various BBS's
  4. files containing tips, trick, hints and techniques on using BASIC
  5. (BASTIPS.ARC, BASTIPS2.ARC, and BASTIPS3.ARC).  Users will recall
  6. that I compiled and editted a variety of articles from various
  7. magazines and other sources which I had found helpful in using BASIC.
  8.  
  9.      BASTIPS4.ARC file is a continuation of the series.  Regrettably
  10. it will be my last for a while.  Of necessity, I'm going "off-line"
  11. and won't be able to continue the DOSTIPS files for a time.  While
  12. I'm in this state, I will continue to catalog and, as time permits,
  13. consolidate the various articles and pieces that I've used in the past
  14. to prepare the TIPS files.  Sorry folks.

  16.     The tips, hints, tricks and techniques in this file are taken
  17. from a variety of magazine articles and other sources over the first
  18. few months of 1987.  As before, I take NO personal credit for authoring
  19. any of the items.  I did take certain liberties in editting the items.
  20. Nevertheless, attribution is properly given in all instances.

  22.      The various files contained within BASTIPS4.ARC were all prepared
  23. using WordStar in nondocument (ASCII) mode.  This BASTIPS file is
  24. arranged in the following categories.
